Norman Allen was born and educated in Canterbury. After leaving college he spent most of his professional career in the creative arena of major advertising agencies in London and Toronto, Canada.
Apart from a short spell in Canterbury rep., and working for a local Kent newspaper, he wrote many TV and radio commercials for leading consumer names, as well as also working on some less than glamourous products.
Norman has been writing short stories and poetry for many years and has been published in several anthologies of modern poetry. He currently lives in Tunbridge Wells with his Canadian wife Katherine and is a keen jazz musician. He gigs in many wine bars and pubs in London and around Tunbridge Wells with his saxophone.
